Team Pridmore

Today, Jeff and I had a great time attending a wedding of friends of mine from my college days.  It was wonderful to see them married  (They knew each other during college,  went their separate ways, and then, over ten years later, their paths crossed again and they fell in love.)

Aaron, Jenn & her son

It was also a great day to see so many old friends from college (I was even able to chat with one of my Bible professors and his wife)--as well as neighbors that live across the street. It was a strange mixing of worlds.

Aaron, the groom, was a few years ahead of me in college and I got to know him only because his sister was one of my roommates my freshman year.

Allison, my freshman roommate and good friend

Jenn, the bride, was a friend of mine in college. We lost touch and reconnected a few years ago when I was out doing yard work and turned around to see her standing on our sidewalk. Her grandparents, whom I had already known since we moved in, lived kitty corner to us. The woman across the street from us, who did all the flowers for the wedding, is dating Jenn's uncle. Jenn had been living just a few streets away from us and Aaron lived a few streets the other way--what a small world!

I was thrilled to come home the next day from church to find some of the lovely flowers from the wedding waiting for us on the table on our front porch.
