Jeff and his California family

Jeff's grandfather's health has been declining and we decided that it's time for him to go to California to visit him. It was a sad time for Jeff, knowing that it was most likely his final visit with him. William Pettigrew is a godly man who has had a great impact on Jeff's life. He is a man who will be greatly missed.

This picture doesn't do him justice, so here are a few others (including one from his dating years with Grandma Pettigrew).

Jeff with his grandparents, his brother, Sean, and Jeff and JD, his brother-in-laws.

Jeff was also able to visit the rest of his mom's family while out in Ventura. All of his cousins live there, so it was a nice time to catch up with a few of them. This picture includes Carolyn (sister), Sean (brother), Beth (sister), Melissa (cousin), and Chad (cousin).

Baltimore Aquarium and the 4th grade

Today Joost's 4th grade class took a field trip to the Baltimore Aquarium. It was a fun day, and his class seemed to enjoy it. I always love chaperoning and seeing all the students interact with their friends and classmates. Joost is blessed to be in a class that he's in. They honor God in their behavior and actions and, at the same time, have a ton of fun with each other.

Easter 2014

What a wonderful day this is!  Waking up and remembering that our mighty Christ Jesus humbled Himself to die for us and then rose from the dead to prove that He is stronger than sin and death is an overwhelming and wonderful thing.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
(Ephesians 3:20-21)

Lego architect

It's not Joost's tallest or best Lego tower, but the look of him behind it is definitely worth posting.  It makes me laugh every time I see him.

Happy birthday, Henry!

Our Henry is three years old!

For his family birthday party, he and his cousins began with an Easter egg hunt in our backyard.

Soon it was time for cake.  Of course, it was a "beep-beep" cake.  (Beep-beep was the original name he gave to construction vehicles before his language improved.  We still call them that. :)

...and singing.

After that, there was merry gift opening.  Even though you can't see him, I think his older cousin could see him as he peeked through the front door.

The following day was is his real birthday and we celebrated with dinner and gifts after church.

We are so extremely blessed to have Henry as a part of our family.  He is our laid back and enjoyable child--always bringing laughter and smiles through out each day.  We pray that God will bless Henry's life with salvation, wisdom, and in favor with God and all the people as he grows and matures.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Henry!!!

Moses!

Today Gracie's class was able to make a trip to Lancaster to visit the Site and Sound Theatre and watch Moses.  It was a fun adventure for them all...and hearing all that the theatre included in the story and how they presented it, made me wish I'd seen it, too!
