The Magic Flute

Today Gracie's class performed the Magic Flute--well, the kindergarten version of Mozart's opera.  Gracie had the role of a stone in Act 1.  Here are a few pictures from the production...

President's Day

Today Joost and Grace had off for President's Day.  What better place to spend it than Old City in Philadelphia where the idea and possibility of a president of the United States began and grew?

Mom and Dad and I took all four of the kids down to see some of the historic spots.  Here are some pictures of our tour....

Christ Church

Independence Hall

the Liberty Bell

What day in Philly isn't complete without spending a little time with the Philly Phanatic?

Betsy Ross' house

I had some fun with this one. Below is a picture taken of my grandparents in front of Independence Hall.  I've been wanting to recreate it for some time with either mom and dad or Jeff and I. Next time I try, I need to bring the actual photo along and see if I can set it up a bit more accurately.

Henry and Noah...that's no small thing.  With all the other babies, our cat avoided them like spinach due to love that was shown to him a bit too aggressively.  Henry is sweet and gentle with the cat and Noah enjoys hanging out with Henry while he plays.

Jelly's signing day

During my few years of coaching field hockey, I had the joy of coaching Janell Holmes. I actually only was able to coach her for her freshman year. Now she's a senior in highschool and has been signed on to play field hockey for the University of Delaware.  It was great fun to be able to attend the official signing of the papers.
