Medieval Feast

Today Joost's class celebrated the end of section of their history studies with a Medieval Feast. They all dressed as ladies and knights, feasted on medieval dishes, and even had a sword fight (which Joost won, by the way.) It was a great time for all of them and a lot of fun for the parents to be a part of, too.

Presidents' Day

Hershey Chocolate World is nothing new to us.  We live 20 minutes away from it.  But, despite our regular visits for the tour and free chocolate, it's still a great way to spend a morning off during Presidents' Day break.

Another snow day....

It's been snowing a lot this winter--and the kids have had a lot of days off.  Here are some pictures of another fun day of playing in the snow rather than studying at school....

And Henry will stay nice and warm in his crib tonight.

2nd grade field trip--Oakes Museum of Natural History

Today Gracie's class took a field trip to the Oakes Museum of Natural History at Messiah College. It was a very enjoyable time. They went to learn about rocks (which they're studying in science class). We all learned a lot. I learned why my granite island in the kitchen is a-maz-ing, and my marble vanity in the bathroom STINKS.

I took a picture of Grace with the other Grace in her class.  I grew up with another Elizabeth in my class, so I have fond sentiments toward matching names in classes.  :)
